Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Adam Dunstan Photography (ABN 75 796 495 167) is based in Melbourne, Australia. This policy explains how I handle personal information through this website and my photography work.
Information I collect
If you email me, enquire about a shoot, book a session or use a workshop enquiry form, I may collect your name, contact details, Instagram handle, booking details and anything you choose to tell me. A workshop form may also ask about your photography experience, equipment and what you would like to learn.
Photography can also involve identifiable images of models, clients, collaborators and other participants, along with names, credits, project notes and records of permissions or releases. An identifiable photograph may be personal information.
When you visit this site, the web server and Google Analytics may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to help me understand site traffic.
How I use it
I use information to answer enquiries, arrange and deliver shoots or workshops, manage projects and business records, maintain site security and understand how the site is used. I may display selected photographs on this site, in portfolios or on social channels, and share images with clients or collaborators, according to the permissions and agreements for the particular shoot. I send occasional marketing emails only if you have opted in or otherwise asked to receive them; you can ask me to stop at any time. I do not sell your personal information.
Sharing and overseas services
I may use service providers for hosting, email, scheduling, analytics, file storage and gallery delivery. I may share project information or images with clients, collaborators or publishers where the relevant permissions allow it, or disclose information when required by law. Some service providers, including Google, may process or store information outside Australia; their locations and practices can change. Links and embedded content from services such as Google or Instagram are subject to those services’ own privacy policies.
Storage and security
I take reasonable steps to protect information I hold and limit access to people who need it for the work. I keep it for as long as needed for services, agreed image use, business records or legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it when appropriate. A shoot agreement or model release may set out more specific terms for photographs, credits, licences and publication. This policy does not replace those agreements.
Your choices and requests
You can control cookies through your browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics. To request access to personal information I hold about you, ask for a correction, discuss an image or its use, or request deletion or a change to marketing preferences, email adam@adamdunstan.com. I may need to confirm your identity before responding. Some information or images may need to be retained under an agreement or legal obligation; I will explain if that applies.
Questions or complaints
If you have a privacy question or complaint, email adam@adamdunstan.com and I will look into it and respond. If you are not satisfied, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
This policy may be updated as the site or services change. The date above shows the current version.
